    Default Comparison | Hytech Replica / DC 4-1 w/ 2.5" Collector

So, I finally got around to ordering a Hytech Replica header from Mr. KiDD. Here is a couple pics I took comparing the two different ones. The Test Pipe Length using my DC Header was 16 and 3/4 Inches, On the Hytech it is 10 and 1/8 Inches.. I haven't tuned my car with the Hytech on there, But I will soon.. But even without tuning just running a "Spoon" Program. There is a noticable power gain over the DC Header Tuned... Especailly in Trq. in midrange (3K - 4.8K revs) 4.8K is my VTEC crossover.. Alot in top end as well..

Note: On the Hytech on the pic below, that's not my finished test pipe, of course, I took the other end piece on the Adj. Test Pipe, And had to cut sections off of both ends till the total length was the required 10 and 1/8th Inches..

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this header.. Wish I would of got this one sooner...

I 100% agree with you.I was the passenger of this car before and after the header swap.there was an instant noticable difference.specially mid range like mentioned. This is to me is well worth the money.

very nice.... if it was in my budget right now I think I would own one too. Hopefully soon, Mr. Kidd will have my gsr in for some work, at which point I may change my mind on how soon I need them. But I admit, those numbers are very impressive for a bolt on part.

I replaced my DC 4 to 1 header with this one, and I love it. A very noticiable increase in power. I might go turbo soon so will regretfully have to sell it.

    ahhh DURRRRRR..

Hytech for the win, cause DC sport headers aren't a RACE header aka they suck balls and are a waste of money for everyone.

I really don't talk bad about everything, i just tell it how it is. if a part sucks, i'll let someone know. if they wanna waste their money on something stupid, i'll let them know. If you can't remember what you say, I'll let you know. If i hurt your feelings i don't care. The truff is the truff.

What is a 2.0L Lsvtec? Don't you mean b20vtec. Why would you waste your money sleeving an LS, when you could have just bought a B20?

because i bought an LS BLock for cheap that was already sleeved.

At the time, B20s were not cheap they were expensive. Even today they arent cheap.

you can get LS motors for $50-100. then sleeve for $900

Or you can buy b20 blocks for $400 then spend $900 sleeving.

    Which makes more sense now?

My block was a B18B, so i say 2.0 LSVTEC since it was sleeved.

B20VTEC would be a b20 block with a VTEC head

considering the motors ive built, raced , and owned, yeah, i share my personal experience.

Considering my 2.0l was an engine that still to this day no one has come within 15-20 whp of it, id say it was far ahead of its time.

So yeah, i like to tell people what to spend their hard earned money on because I KNOW WHAT WORKS.
